We have been working hard in gardening club this week! We have weeded several of the raised beds and added some new plants too. 

Thanks to Mr Ffoulkes  showed us how to split plants, plant cuttings and how to make seed bombs! 

Our seeds that we planted last week have already begun to sprout which is very exciting. 

Beech class were lucky enough to receive a visit from Discover History on Wednesday this week. They had a range of artefacts for the children to see and shared lots of information with us about WW2.

Elm class were wowed this morning by the tales and jokes (mostly good, but some bad) from Professor McGinty. Children were taken back in time to examine artefacts from Ancient Egypt and learnt many fascinating facts! 

Thank you professor! We absolutely loved it!

This morning, parents, families and our local community enjoyed a fantastic Easter Service with Rev. Kim at St. Leonard's Church. 

Well done to all children:  their singing, readings and prayers were all beautiful. Also a big THANK YOU to Rev. Kim for leading the worship and to Harry for the music. 

Eve was at the Hippodrome yesterday. It was a show called Dinosaur World Live, where they selected some members of the audience to say hello to the dinosaurs. Eve was very excited to be selected and went up on stage to tickle a Triceratops baby! Something strange happened when Eve tickled the Triceratops on the tummy... there was a little bit of wind from the creature.  

Congratulations to these children who were specially chosen by the Pioneer staff for their courage and perseverance! 

Evie had her hair cut and has donated 12 inches of hair to The Little Princess Trust (a charity who make real hair wigs for children and young people with cancer or other illnesses) . Evie was sponsored to do this and has raised over £300 which will be sent with her hair donation for the charity.  Thank you to all who contributed.

This afternoon Beech class were incredibly lucky to have a visit from Vickie at Arctic Quest. She was accompanied by 2 of her 34 beautiful dogs - Azura and Mocha. The children got the chance to learn all about huskies and the history of racing before meeting the dogs.
