Science Lead - Miss Bowden

Since a young age, Science has fascinated me, particularly the Natural Sciences, due to being raised on a farm, surrounded by nature. 

Later in my life, I found a passion for physics and chemistry too. Having spent 10 years in the steel industry, I understand  the importance of having a good scientific understanding and how this can be applied in the wider world.  

I have spent much of my teaching career trying to raise Science Capital for young people. Science is such a vital part of everyone's lives and I love encouraging children to ask questions about the world around them and inspiring pupils to be curious about how and why everything is the way it is!
