Christian Vision
Our school is committed to developing confident and caring life-long learners who “engage, believe and achieve” in a nurturing and stimulating environment underpinned by our Christian faith.
Our Christian Vision permeates through everything we do.
Engage
Romans 14:19 “So, then we must always aim at those things that bring peace and that help to strengthen one another.”
Making good disciples is not just about invitation, it is about participation. Participation in the Good News is about helping others to take part. We are all one family. Caring about each other and our world in our daily lives, helps us to be considerate, contributing members of the world.
Believe
Mark 9:23 “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.”
Believing is about having faith in our own abilities through God. We want our children to develop independence and resilience and believe they have the capacity to improve and challenge themselves, keeping things fresh and new. We want our children to develop spiritually as well as intellectually, socially and morally.
Achieve
2 Chronicles 15:7 “But as for you, be strong and do not give up, for your work will be rewarded.”
Psalm 20:4 “May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.”
Achievement is as much about perseverance as it is about achieving your goal, but we cannot achieve things alone. We want our children to enjoy a wide and varied range of activities to stimulate creativity and curiosity and know that everyone is special and has skills and talents to share.
The Christian Values that underpin our school Christian Vision are:
- Thankfulness
- Respect
- Forgiveness
- Kindness
- Friendship
- Perseverance and Courage
