Mental Health strategy
Assessing and responding to children’s emotional health needs and their capacity to learn is key to our school. Ensuring children express their views and influence decisions is part of this. NICE guidance recommends that schools:
- Develop partnerships between children and staff to formulate, implement and evaluate organisation-wide approaches to promoting social and emotional wellbeing
- Introduce a variety of mechanisms to ensure all children have the opportunity to contribute to decisions that may impact on their social and emotional wellbeing
Involve children in the creation, delivery and evaluation of training and continuing professional development activities in relation to social and emotional wellbeing
Our whole school approach has a universal focus on wellbeing for all and is set out in our strategic development plan below./
