Year 4 Times Tables
By the end of Year 4, children are expected to know their multiplication and division facts up to 12 × 12 quickly and accurately. Regular practice little and often can make a big difference in helping children develop their fluency and confidence.
On this page, you will find information about the Multiplication Tables Check (MTC), including what it involves and how we prepare the children for it. We have also included a range of fun and practical ideas for practising times tables at home, so that children can build their recall skills without it feeling like a chore.
Thank you for supporting your child with their times tables journey!

Times Table Practice
TTRockstars
We use TT Rock Stars to help children practise their times tables in a fun and engaging way. Each child has their own individual login, which can be found in the front of their reading record.
Just 3 minutes of practice a day can make a real difference to children's speed, accuracy and confidence when recalling their times tables. Short, regular practice is much more effective than doing lots of practice all at once.
We encourage children to log in regularly and have a go at improving their times table knowledge. Little and often is the key!
